I have now been reviewing different TV converter boxes for about 3 months.  In all I have reviewed over 40 different converter boxes so I have a fairly good idea of which ones are the best.

Today I wanted to go over the most common question that I get regarding TV converter boxes.  More than anything else I am asked which TV converter box provides the best picture clarity.

The answer to this question is actually that there are several different converter boxes. The top converter boxes provide a picture clarity that is almost equivalent to DVD quality.  If you are looking for this then you can get the DTVPal, DTVPal Plus, Dish Network TR-40 CRA, Tivax stb-t8, or Channel Master CM 7000.  All of these have been rated as the same or nearly the same.  In my opinion the CM 7000 is actually slightly better than the rest but most people rate them all in the same category.

Maybe this is going to be one of the oddest gifts I’ve ever got from Santa. I’m getting a Fraxel laser therapy to remove my acne scars which bothered me for so long. As this treatment is quite expensive for my Santa’s budget, many years of savings were required for me to get this great present.

Not all San Diego laser treatment centers have contract with health insurance companies, and even if they did, I very much doubt that I’d ever get such kind of surgery reimbursed by insurance. Nevertheless, with the money coming from Santa, I only need to take care of my morale before the intervention. I’m optimistic, but I am a bit concerned with the temporary side effects such as local swelling and redness. I just hope to look great by the time summer comes. Wish me luck.

Over the holiday weekend, my wife and I went to visit some friends and play some music. One of my good friends told me a story that I wouldn’t believe if I didn’t know him so well.

A few weeks earlier his sister purchased some glow in the dark contacts from a local novelty shop to mess with her friends. They glow in places with low light like a club or at night in the city. Well, she works in a part of town that has a bit of crime , and one night as she was walking to her car a man came out and attempted to mug her. When the guy saw her eyes glowing neon, he swore and then turned to run.

Do you know of any experiences like this? I’m interested to hear if anyone else has any stories of potential crime thwarted due to an unusual happening.

If you have been considering making the switch to an electric toothbrush then good for you.  Switching over to electric can help you to keep your teeth cleaner and also cut down on your brushing time.

If you have been thinking about it I recommend that you purchase one of the cheap crest $5 electric toothbrushes first.  This is simply to make sure that you can get use to an electric toothbrush before you drop a bunch of money on one of them. Some people have real trouble adjust and simply can’t make the switch. In that case you wouldn’t want to be out a bunch of money.

The only this is the $5 ones are highly inferior to say… a philips sonicare toothbrush so if you like it after several weeks I suggest that you go ahead and switch to a better one.

It also comes with timer that allows you to brush for two or two and a half minutes depending on what you prefer. Besides these features Advance series brushes also come with the easy-start mode, a travel case, and a two year warranty.

I was just doing a little research on shoes lately and it seems like the ladies are not the only ones these days collecting high style and high priced shoes. Manolo’s look out.  Your competitor in the male field are the Air Force One sneakers.

They are really a great looking shoe and a lot of the top names in entertainment are wearing them. Pretty soon if there is a male oriented show like Sex and the City, I am sure they will be talking about their Sneakers and the circa year that their model came from. It really is a force to be reckoned with.

Sometimes I read things that just make me laugh. And I mean laugh hard. Who would have imagined that there are so many people going into hip hop and rap and offering their hip hop beats for sale (seriously, no joke here). Now I’m not trying to bad mouth anyone’s musical preferences (at least not right now) but seriously are you nuts?!

Why would you think you can make money doing this? If you’re someone who’s trying to sell beats and you’re living in your mom’s basement, stop wondering why. It’s pretty damn obvious. Grow up, get a real job and get to work. Jeez, some people make me wonder.

The Philips Sonicare Elite e7300 Power Toothbrush is a great personal home toothbrush.  Sonicare toothbrushes are the most recommended by dental professionals and the e7300 is one of the better Sonicare toothbrushes. 

The e7300 is almost the same as the e9500 except for that it is slightly downgraded. Although I haven’t been able to find the missing features or functions that make the e7300 toothbrush a lower end, less expensive model. If you can figure out the different between the two please let me know. The e7300 sells for $80-$100 and is a great buy for anybody that is looking for a change their toothbrush.
